    St. James Mercy Health provides a telephone-based emergency response system called MercyLine for those who are elderly, medically frail or who live alone.

  Maternity & Women’s Health »
Comprehensive women’s health services include prenatal programs, a maternal unit and birthing center, mammography, and gynecology/laparoscopy.

The Newborn Channel »
During your stay, you and your family will have free access to The Newborn Channel, a 24-hour, satellite-delivered education television network that provides new parents with educational information. Topics include diaper changing, postpartum care, first aid, automobile safety, comforting a crying baby, coming home and more.

Nutrition Counseling »
Nutrition therapy counseling is available for everyone in the community with a physician’s order by a registered dietician.

Occupational Therapy »
The occupational therapist not only provides direct therapeutic interventions, but also serves as a resource for interdisciplinary team members, caregivers, family members, and patients to promote maximum functional independence.

Orthopedic Services »
At St. James Mercy Center for Orthopedic Care, we provide a full range of services from consultations to minimally invasive surgery to total joint replacement. Our Center is staffed by board-certified, fellowship-trained physicians from Rochester General Hospital who have decades of orthopedic experience. During your stay, you have free access to The Patient Channel, a 24-hour, satellite-delivered education television network service. The Patient Channel provides credible, accurate and up-to-date information to patients and their families, caregivers and friends to help manage medical conditions and improve health.

Physical Therapy »
Physical therapy is available to restore strength, mobility and function in individuals who have experienced a disability, illness, injury or surgery with the goal of return to prior home, work and leisure activities.

Respiratory Therapy »
Respiratory therapy offers a variety of services that range from pulmonary function testing to ventilator management and nebulizer/MDI treatments.

Speech Therapy »
In addition to speech therapy services, a modified barium swallow study is now available to assist with treatment.

Spiritual Care »
The Spiritual Care Department offers services to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and residents, clients, families, and staff. In addition to weekly reflection groups, chapels and the prayer room, McAuley worship services, and monthly grief support groups, chaplins are also available.

Stress Tests »
St. James Mercy Hospital performs the following types of Cardiac Stress tests: exercise stress echo test, dobutamine stress echo test, nuclear exercise stress test, and nuclear adenosine stress test.
