  • Advanced Practice Provider
    Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) that works in a collaborative relationship with a physician provider to oversee the care delivered to a patient population, and meet Hospital goals for safety and quality. The NP is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.
    This position will work in Express Care (Walk-In Clinic) which operates from 10am – 8pm. The NP will provide care for patients in an express care level (Walk in Clinic). Work collaboratively with Emergency Physician and nursing staff. Patients require evaluation, intervention, and disposition. Excellent communication skills and teamwork required. Must be able to function as a solo provider.
    Patient & Family Centered Care
    • Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness. Coordinates the nursing plan of care with the medical plan of care.
    • Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient’s age.
    • Demonstrates expertise in the care of acute care patients providing collaboration, direction and instruction to the medical services staff in the application and utilization of the nursing process.

    Job Summary: A Food Service Worker will assist in the preparation, serving, and delivery of food to patient, employee and resident areas. This individual may serve in the cafeteria; have cashier responsibilities, and/or dish room and utility duties. Individuals may also assist in catering functions.

  • Hospitalist PA/NP
    Job Responsibilities: The Hospitalist PA/NP will work with the Hospital MD to direct care for the patient in the hospital. This individual will aid in the development of the APP and MD Hospitalist program at St. James Mercy Hospital.
    • Attend regular documented meetings (at least monthly) with SJMH providers to discuss systems/patient flow quality, improvement in scheduling, and patient and physician relationships
    • Participate and regularly meet at least monthly with MD to review progress of hospitalist programs
    • Assist in the professional development and growth of each individual provider and/or physician extenders

    Job Qualifications:
